Human Resources plays an essential role in building productive, compliant, and positive workplaces. HR functions support organizations throughout the employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, compensation, employee relations, workplace safety, and HR administration.
BITTS International Career College’s Human Resources Fundamentals short course introduces students to the fundamental principles and practical functions of Human Resource Management in the modern workplace. Students develop knowledge of recruitment and selection, employee onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, workplace communication, and HR administration.
The course also introduces important workplace considerations including employment standards, human rights, occupational health and safety, workplace policies, employee documentation, HR technology, and professional HR practices. Through practical exercises, case studies, and workplace scenarios, students develop foundational HR knowledge that can be applied in business, administrative, supervisory, and human resources environments.
Human Resources Fundamentals is a non-vocational program. This program does not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.
