Bookkeeping is an essential business function that helps organizations maintain accurate financial records, manage transactions, monitor cash flow, and prepare financial information for business decision-making.
BITTS International Career College’s Bookkeeping & Sage 50 short course introduces students to fundamental bookkeeping and accounting concepts while developing practical skills using Sage 50 Accounting software. Students learn the accounting cycle, journal entries, general ledger management, accounts receivable and payable, banking, inventory, sales, purchasing, payroll, government remittances, and financial reporting.
The course combines accounting theory with practical exercises using Sage 50. Students gain experience recording transactions, managing customer and vendor accounts, processing payroll, performing reconciliations, managing inventory, and generating financial reports.
Through business case studies, Sage 50 practical labs, and a final bookkeeping project, students apply their knowledge to realistic business scenarios and develop practical bookkeeping and financial administration skills.
Bookkeeping & Sage 50 is a non-vocational program. This program does not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.
